Lauded by The Strad for her ‘beguiling... thrilling and exuberant’ Royal Festival Hall debut, Shiry pursues a busy and diverse international career. Her recent recording of Kate Whitley’s Viola Concerto with Multi Story Orchestra and Christopher Stark for NMC Records was described as ‘fearless’ in The Guardian and has been featured on BBC Radio 3.
Shiry is a prize-winner of the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, Cecil Aronowitz Viola Prize, Philharmonia Orchestra Meyer Award, and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust Recital Scheme. She has performed in such venues as the Royal Festival Hall, Barbican, Royal Albert Hall, and Cadogan Hall, and further afield, Tokyo’s Suntory Hall, Paris Theatre Champs Elysee, Berlin Philharmonie, among others. Live broadcasts include BBC Radio 3 and BBC 4, New York’s WQXR, Italy’s RAI and the Israeli Broadcasting Authority.
